Frequently Asked Questions

These are built around moments, not just fragrance.
Every scent begins with a place, memory, or atmosphere and is designed to feel familiar, even if you can't immediately explain why. The goal isn't intensity. It's immersion.
-
If you're new to Allaire & Ash, start with the scene that feels most familiar or intriguing. The best choice is usually the one that makes you stop and wonder what it smells like.
Each fragrance represents a different scene, season, or atmosphere. There's no right or wrong choice, only the one that resonates with you.
If we're attending an event near you, that's the best way to experience them in person.

Each candle is made with a simple blend of natural American-made soy and coconut waxes, with a small amount of candelilla wax for structure and stability.
We also carefully select clean fragrance oils for each of our products.

The term "non-toxic" can mean different things to different people, so I prefer to be specific about the ingredients I use.
Allaire & Ash candles are made with a blend of American-made soy, coconut, and candelilla waxes along with carefully selected fragrance oils that are phthalate-free, paraben-free, IFRA compliant, vegan, cruelty-free, and California Prop 65 compliant. I do not add dyes or decorative materials to my candles.
While no candle can accurately be described as "chemical-free," I believe in choosing high-quality ingredients, understanding the documentation behind them, and being transparent about what goes into every candle I make.
As a father and pet owner, I choose ingredients that I personally feel comfortable burning in my own home.

Everything is made in small batches using custom-developed fragrances and carefully selected materials.
More importantly, each fragrance is created as a complete experience. The focus is not on producing the most candles possible, but on creating fragrances worth returning to.

Burn time will vary depending on use, but your 6 oz candles typically last around 40-50 hours.
Proper Care will extend the life of your candle.
-
Trim the wick to about 1/4” before each use.
On the first burn, allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the jar. This helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even burn moving forward.
